Featured Fights: Miller Draws Diaz; A Look Back At Diaz vs. Guillard
UFC President Dana White announced via twitter yesterday that come UFC on Fox 3, Jim Miller and Nate Diaz will face off in what is likely a title eliminator for the lightweight division. Diaz recently set the UFC record for most power shots landed in dominant showing over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone at UFC 141. Miller recently took a submission of the night victory over Melvin Guillard in the main event of UFC on FX 1.

UFC’s Swedish Debut Adds Two Fights: Nunes vs. Siver, Corassani vs. Young Announced
The UFC's first foray into Sweden just got a little more interesting as two more bouts for the April 14 Fuel card have been announced. Denis Siver will make his featherweight debut against Diego Nunes and recent "The Ultimate Fighter" competitor and Swedish native Akira Corassani will face off against Jason Young. UFC on Fuel 2 will take place at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm and air here in the United States on Fuel TV as part of the new broadcast deal the UFC signed with Fox. Fuel TV, as well as FX are subsidiaries of Fox.

Thursday evening’s Fight Lab Promotions “Fight Lab 20” event from Coyote Joe's in Charlotte, NC featured a bevy of amazing fights. The main event of the evening featured future lightweight stars Kevin Forant and Micah Lail squaring off in a grudge match of sorts. Also featured on the card were highly touted prospects Kenneth “Pit” Crowder, Denison Pavia, and Nick “The Vanilla Gorilla” Smith.

Tate vs. Rousey Title Contest Set For March 3 Strikeforce Main Event
A highly-anticipated and exciting title fight featuring two of the world’s elite mixed martial artists will take place when Strikeforce returns to Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, March 3, when newly-crowned women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate makes her first title defense against undefeated sensation Ronda Rousey. Following Recent Drug Test Failures, UFC Imposes New Mandatory Screenings
Continuing a commitment to the health and safety of its athletes, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that all potential UFC and Strikeforce signees will be subject to a mandatory pre-contract screening for performance-enhancing drugs. Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, all incoming athletes will be tested prior to finalizing a contract with the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization. This includes contestants on "The Ultimate Fighter," all of whom are pre-screened for performance-enhancing drugs prior to participating on the longest-running sports reality show on television.
“King Mo” Lawal Tests Positive For Steroids
Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal has tested positive for drostanolone according to a release received by MMA Spot from Nevada Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer. The testing was undertaken as required for Lawal’s bout against Lorenz Larkin at “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” on January 7. “King Mo” was victorius, knocking out Larkin at 1:32 of the second round. According to Kizer, the following athletes were tested: Luke Rockhold, Keith Jardine, Robbie Lawler, Muhammed Lawal, Tyron Woodley, Tarec Saffiedine, Tyler Stinson, Nah-Shon Burrell, James Terry, Gian Villante, Trevor Smith, Ricky Legere, Chris Spang, Estevan Payan and Alonzo Martinez.

UFC Sweden Sells Out In Hours, Nogueria vs. Gustaffson Headlining
The UFC is set to debut in Sweden in April and the tickets sold out faster than any European UFC event in history—lasting only a matter of hours. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson have been tapped to main event the fight card. UFC Sweden will take place April 14 in Stockholm at the Ericsson Globe Arena.

UFC 142: What We Learned
On paper, UFC 142 was not a star-studded event. However, by the time the crowd at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil had left the building the UFC’s first pay-per-view of the year may end up being its most memorable. Although not every moment will be remembered in a positive manner, and there were several issues left to be settled, there is one question we can tackle following UFC 142: What did we learn?
UFC 142 Recap & Results
UFC returned to Brazil with a line up heavily laden with native sons. In the main event, UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo took on Chad Mendes and other stars such Vitor Belfort, Edson Barboza and Gabriel Gonzaga took center stage of the in Rio de Janeiro's HSBC Arena in front of a capacity crowd. The action, and controversy, was heated throughout the evening, but one star's actions at the end of the evening provided a memorable moment for the Brazilian in attendance and all MMA fans watching around the world.
